On January 27, 2026, the Erasmus Student Network invites you to participate in the Future is Erasmus Conference in Brussels, organised with the support of the Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Alliance (ESAA) and aimed at allowing the Higher Education community to share perspectives and discuss the future of Erasmus+.

Where? Fondation Universitaire, Rue d’Egmont 11, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
When? 27 January 2026, 14:00 - 18:30 CET (followed by a cocktail reception)

Through The Future is Erasmus initiative, ESN advocates for the next Erasmus+ Programme 2028-2034 to increase and improve mobility experiences. This conference will provide an essential space for Erasmus+ students, alumni, higher education institutions, European University Alliances, National Agencies, European organisations and policymakers to engage in open exchanges around key questions shaping the future of the Erasmus+ programme in higher education.

Following an opening panel on the Future of Higher Education in Erasmus+, the conference will move into interactive discussions addressing key questions related to skills development, inclusion, the European Universities Initiative, and the role of Erasmus+ in European integration and talent attraction.

The event will then close with a reflection panel in which institutional actors respond to the outcomes of these discussions, helping to connect stakeholder perspectives with EU-level policymaking.

A cocktail reception will follow, offering speakers and participants the opportunity to continue the exchange and deepen discussions in a more informal setting.

The 2026 Annual Conference will adopt a participatory stakeholder discussion model centred on the Higher Education dimension of Erasmus+, with an emphasis on listening, dialogue, and co-creation.

You can consult the live agenda of the conference for more information. Interested?

Register here by the 23rd of January to secure your spot.
