Student guidebook order open!
After the success of the student guidebook we have decided to open a new order. The guidebook was the result of ESN's project, PRIME (Problems of Recognition In Making Erasmus) and targets incoming and outgoing exchange student. This brief and comprehensive compendium shows the recognition process step-by-step, explaining the rights and obligations of exchange students and can be ordered by Higher Education Institutions, National Agencies, European Institutions, ESN bodies, etc. Order it before 20th July! Transition in progress
From the 1st - 15th of July is the official transition period between the current and the new board. All knowledge transfer and official handovers will be done so that the new board will be prepared to take on a year of challenges. Because of this occation the office will be closed during the period.
ESN signed partnership agreement with thinkyoung
ESN has just signed a partnership agreement with Thinkyoung. Thinkyoung is a European think-tank that operates in Brussels. They operate by conducting surveys, organising and contributing to conderences and shooting documentaries about young people, all to be the voice of young people in Europe with the vison to make Europe think young. Open Call: National Boards Meeting OC
We are looking for a motivated section to organise the NBM in October or November and welcome the National Boards of ESN for their meeting. The National Boards Meeting is a bi-annual meeting of the National Boards of ESN in order to share knowledge and experience as well as discuss cooperations and projects. The deadline to apply is 18th July 2012. In order to apply as an OC, please read the Event Policy Paper and the guidelines. For more information ask the National Representative of your country.

Reinventing democracy
This project aims to bring together 24 young people from all over Europe in an attempt to envision, conceptualize and design new models of democratic governance that capitalize on the possibilities offered by contemporary as well as emerging digital technologies. The two-day event will be organized as an interactive co-laboratory, fully utilizing up-to-date methodologies and technologies of the science of structured democratic dialogue. Read more here.

Your first EURES job
European Commission launches a pilot project to help young people find jobs. In its initial phase 'Your first EURES job' will aim to improve cross-border mobility for 5 000 young people; four selected employment services from Germany, Spain, Denmark and Italy will help young people look for work in Member States other than their own. 'Your first EURES job' will also serve as a testing ground for transforming EURES – the network of Member States' employment services – towards a pan-European employment service. Students invited to help set EU agenda
People can face obstacles when exercising their rights as European citizens. The European Commission is therefore asking citizens to share the problems they have experienced when moving around the EU. We really want to hear from students who have studied in another EU country or plan to do so, whether they are university students or still at school. You are also invited to describe the kind of European Union they would like to see by 2020. Find out more on the website of the European Commission.

European Charter on the Rights and Responsibilities of Volunteers
Following wide consultations with stakeholders and volunteers themselves, a Charter on the Rights and Responsibilities of Volunteers has been finalised recently by a working group set up in the framework of the Second Youth Convention on Volunteering which took place in September 2011. The Charter serves as an appeal to local, national and European authorities to adequately design and update policies relating to volunteering. Find out more on the website of the European Commission.
- EYV Alliance meeting
On the 19th of June Katja Krohn and Emanuel ALfranseder attended the EYV meeting in Brussels. During the meeting the parties disscussed the formalizing of and future or the Alliance as a volunteering platform. - FiCo Meeting in Barcelona
