Open call: Committee Chairs

The call for the committee chairing teams for 2012-2013 are hereby open, we are looking for highly motivated people to help leading our committees during the coming year! Each chairing team will be elected internally by the respective committees and approved by the CNR Reykjavik, Iceland in May 2012. The deadline for the applications is 4th May 2012 23:59 CET. Board Diary: March

If the International Board had to say what was the busiest month of the year, it would be a challenge, but March would win (so far) as we had the pleasure of preparing and attending the Annual General Meeting in Granada. But to say that was only the important activity of the month would ignore all the other exciting events and developments that occurred, which we will tell you about here. Read more on esn.org

ESN celebrates the 25th Anniversary at AGM Granada 2012!

As already written in the previous newsletter the AGM took place in Granada from the 22nd-26th March and is the biggest event in the calendar of ESN. The Annual General Meeting 2012 was organized by ESN Granada and it gathered 550 representatives from 33 countries and nearly 400 Higher Education Institutions. Design the next ESN gadgets!

We are now opening a competition for the next ESN gadgets where you, if you design the winning gadget will receive all of the new gadgets as a prize. We are looking for thermal mugs, laptop sleeves and towels. Be creative, use your imagination, but remember to follow the guidelines in the Visual Identity Manual. 18th ASEF University - apply now

The 18th ASEF University (AU18), themed “Conscious Consumers for Environmental Sustainability”, will take place from 18 August to 1 September in the Estonian city of Tartu. The programme offers opportunities for up to 46 promising (under-) graduate students, young professionals and educators from ASEM countries to broaden their horizons and deepen their insight into contemporary issues in a multi-cultural setting. A successful year for DG EAC

In terms of finances, DG EAC has spent 100% of its allocated budget in the past year and, by using additional money allocated by the EP and Council above the Commission's initial proposal for 2011, it was able to create even more opportunities for people participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP), Erasmus Mundus and Youth in Action programme.
