January: UNI Wien

The first section in the spotlight of 2012 is the ESN Uni Wien!
The section at University of Vienna is not only the oldest bust also the biggest section in Austria. Today, ESN Uni Wien is one of seven sections in the beautiful city of Vienna. These seven sections cooperate a lot in forms of joint parties, trips and weekly events. There is regularly Vienna Meetings organized between the sections for ease communication between the sections. "Volunteering"!

We proudly present you... the 12th issue of new eXpress Magazine. It is already online. You can read the magazine directly online at eXpress Magazine or easily download the pdf version. This issue features the topic of volunteering, covering among others, stories from sections and the flagship project of 2012, SocialErasmus. You can also read about Poland and Estonia and get inspiration from how things work in these ESN countries.

International Board Diary December

Happy New Year to you all and welcome to the last report of 2011 and the ushering in of what will surely be an exciting year for ESN. In this issue the Board attended the CND which is the second most important meeting of the year and the EESC prize ceremony where ESN recieved 20.000 EUR for its project SocialErasmus, read about this and much more on esn.org!

25th anniversary - logo winner

Year 2012 is the 25^th year of Erasmus programme and is this programme is really something special ESN needed a way to brand and celebrate it. In the end of 2011 we hosted a logo competition. The winning logo will be branding all events done in the framework of the 25th anniversary. Among the 50 submissions a winner has been chosen and we are happy to announce that Antonia Korcheva has submitted the winning logo! Antonia will have a place at AGM Granada in March this year covered. A big congratulations!

Join our EMI Training Academy photo competition!

The EMI Training Academy is launching a photo competition open to youth from all countries! To participate, all you need to do it take a photo of something representing "the multicultural spirit of young generations" in your country and send it to us with a short comment. You should try to be relevant, original and artistic. All photos will be published on our web site and the two best photos will win a prize. Read more!

EU Studies Fair 2012

Now in its 13th year, European Voice's EU Studies Fair is a two-day education and networking event bringing together prospective students and academic institutions, it attracts multilingual, ambitious students and young professionals who have a direct interest in further study and careers in these fields. This year, the EU Studies Fair will take place on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 February 2012, in Brussels. Read more on EuropeanVoice!

EMI Training Academy

The EMI Training Academy is a training course for students interested in EU affairs who want to broaden their knowledge of the EU and learn about the reality of working in Brussels, be it in the Institutions, lobbies or NGOs. New Technologies for Youth Leaders

Five days long meeting of young people from 12 European countries aims to help all participating organizations to prepare projects for the upcoming year in close cooperation with partners from all over the Europe. The new 'Youth Opportunities Initiative' calls on Member States to work on preventing early school leaving; helping youngsters develop skills relevant to the labour market; ensuring work experience and on-the-job training and helping young people find a first good job.
