ESN awarded the EESC Prize
ESN's flagship project SocialErasmus was awarded with the first prize of the Civil Society Prize 2011, granted by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). For the 4th time this prize was awarded to innovative projects that give a valuable contribution to the well-being of our society. With the theme "Dialogue and participation fostering EU values: integration, diversity, solidarity and tolerance" it reinforces the values of the European integration process that are reflected in the winning youth projects.

25th anniversary - logo competition
Year 2012 is the 25th year of Erasmus programme and ESN wants to do something special. To strengthen the visibility of this year and the events we have decided to label activities in the name of the 25th anniversary. Hereby we are holding a design competition in the network where we encourage you to contribute with your idea! The winner of the competition will have a place at the AGM Granada in March 2012 covered by ESN.

Section Gift Exchange - Let's celebrate the holidays!
The Holidays are slowly approaching and we would like to acknowledge this special time of a year with the Section Gift Exchange! The tradition of exchanging gift goes way back and it's now a tradition in the making in ESN. Take part in the insight weekend 2012
During the Insight Weekend, taking place the 27-29 January you will have the chance to meet the current International Board in the ESN headquarters and the ESN house and to experience the reality of what it means to live and work in Brussels and for our lovely organisation. You will have the chance to have a look at a typical Board day, the task of the different positions and you will also be able to ask a lot of questions about how, what and why we are doing what in the International Board.

Join the EMI Training Academy, 20-26 February 2012, Brussels
The EMI Training Academy is a training course for students interested in EU affairs who want to broaden their knowledge of the EU and learn about the reality of working in Brussels, be it in the Institutions, lobbies or NGOs. It is a unique occasion to leave textbooks and classrooms and to meet professionals, visit the Institutions and discover Brussels. Application deadline is January 20.

Rome model United nations 2012
Applications for RomeMUN 2012 are now open! RomeMUN is an international conference which attracts each year hundreds of international students from all over the world, enjoying a great conference on rural poverty-food security, sustainability and visiting one of the most ancient and beautiful cities in the world. Erasmus for All: 5 million in line for EU funding
Up to 5 million people, almost twice as many as now, could get the chance to study or train abroad with a grant from Erasmus for All, the new EU programme for education, training, youth and sport proposed by the European Commission.
"Investing in education and training is the best investment we can make for Europe's future. Studying abroad boosts people's skills, personal development and adaptability, and makes them more employable. We want to ensure that many more people benefit from EU support for these opportunities".

Western European Platform Liege attended by 100 delegates, mainly from central Europe took place between the 24th and 27th of November. Participants took part in workshops, small sessions and plenaries to learn and share experiences and ideas. - NEP, Odense
Nothern European Platform visited by over 80 delegates, took place between the 3rd and 6th of November in Odense, Denmark. The delegates had the chance to take part in workshops, small sessions and plenaries to share experiences and learn more about ESN. - NBM, Dublin
National Boards' Meeting in Dublin hosted Board Members from National Boards all over Europe and provided them a chance to share experiences, develop the National Boards of ESN and work on future cooperations.
