Every year, ESN launches a survey that explores the current issues connected to academic and non-academic mobility.
This years issue with, ESNSurvey 2011 "Exchange, Employment and Added Value" investigates the mobile labour market and employment but also the impact of student mobility on the environment, satisfaction with student organisations and impact on volunteering.

Youth Convention on Volunteering

From 7th to 11th September 2011, the European Parliament will host the biggest public event organised by the European Youth Forum in the frame of the European Year of Volunteering. The target audiences of the event are young people, youth organisations, public institutions and the wider public.
The Convention will also be a flagship event for the EU-China Year of Youth and mark the 15th Anniversary of the European Youth Forum.

Volunteering for languages

If you ever live abroad for any time, you'll probably be interested in meeting the locals. Clearly, speaking their language would be a great first step. That was the aim of the EU-financed VoLANGteer scheme between 2008 and 2010.

  • EU-China Youth Forum for Participation
    The EU-China Youth Forum for Participation took place in Shenzhen, China from 10th to 14th of August. Eva Ntovolou, Marco La Rosa and Madara Apsalone participated on behalf of ESN. The event was organized in the framework of the EU-China Year of Youth 2011 to exchange ideas and best practices concerning youth participation and create new synergies between European and Chinese youth organizations. ESN participated to several formal and informal meetings concerning the EU-China Year of Youth and will be also present at the "III China-Europe Symposium on Youth Work Development" held in Brussels in September.
