Is your section involved in PRIME? If the answer is no, than you need to choose your local coordinator as soon as possible! The coordinator will manage promotion of the project on local level and will encourage universities and students to participate in research. Insight Weekend
Are you planning to run for the International Board 2011/12 and do you want to discover the daily life of the Board members in Brussels? Then the Insight weekend is the right opportunity for you !
It is taking place from the 28th to the 30th January 2011. The programme includes job-shadowing, mini-board meeting, one-to-one meetings. The deadline to register for the Insight Weekend is the 20th December 2010 by writing to vicepresident@esn.org, there are 10 places available and a selection procedure will be therefore used (motivation, position, etc).
Section Questionnaire 2010 is launched!
Each year, ESN sections must provide ESN International with information about their activities, operating processes, etc. The new questionnaire is available on Galaxy, you can find guidelines about how to fill out the questionnaire in the ESN Helpcenter
The deadline for filling out the questionnaire is the 31st December 2010.

improve the knowledge management in ESN and increase the personal opportunities for
members.

Culture in Motion Conference and Stakeholder Consultation Meeting
What is the added value of transnational cultural cooperation projects supported by the EU and what does European financing enable the cultural sector to achieve that would not have been possible otherwise? The European Commission is organising its third Culture in Motion Conference 15-16 February 2011 in Brussels in order to help answer these and other questions.

Celebrating 5 years of the Unesco Convention
The European Commission is organising a conference to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of the adoption of the UNESCO Convention on the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions.
Three panels will discuss the political relevance of the Convention, focusing on development, trade issues and freedom of expression. The event will conclude with a reception and concert by the legendary Congolese guitarist Dizzy Mandjeku.

Do you want to be European Youth Capital 2014?
The 'European Youth Capital' (EYC) is a title granted by the European Youth Forum to a European city for a period of one year, during which it is given the chance to showcase its youth-related cultural, social, political and economic life and development.
The 'European Youth Capital' title gives European cities the opportunity to present a multi-faceted programme, which highlights the wealth, diversity and common characteristics of Europe's intergenerational approach, and the empowerment of young people throughout the continent.
The first European Youth Capital was Rotterdam (the Netherlands). The European Youth Forum (YFJ) has awarded the EYC 2010 title to Torino (Italy), EYC 2011 to Antwerp (Belgium), EYC 2012 to Braga (Portugal) and EYC 2013 to Maribor (Slovenia).
The EYC 2014 call is being launched on 22nd November 2010, with deadline on Monday, 1st May 2011 (23:59 Central European Time).
Applications received after this date will not be considered. The application includes a fee of 800 Euros.

- Membership fee: reminder
For all the sections, which joined before 31st October 2009 the membership fee is 60 euro, for all the sections which joined between 1st November 2009 and 31st October 2010 the membership fee is 30 euro and the sections having joined after the 1st November 2010 the membership will have to be paid from next year on. From the 18th to the 20th November, Eva Ntovolou and Lea Benirschke participated as representatives of ESN to the General Assembly of the European Youth Forum (YFJ) in Kiev. During the GA the new YFJ Board was elected: Peter Matjasic, JEF (President) Katarina Nevedalova, ECOSY and Luca Scarpiello, FNG (Vice-Presidents) Imse Nilsson, LSU; Anemone Birkebaek, DUF; Guoda Lomanaite, LYMEC; Mourad Mahidi, OJV; Falko Mohrs, WOSM; Katrine Korsgaard, EEE-YFU; Lloyd Russell- Moyle, IFM-SEI; Rui Duarte, CNJ (Board Members). The occasion to enjoy our time combined with the awareness of a noble undertaking. This has been for all of us the participation to the Paralympics, set in Cagliari on the 14th of October, where Erasmus students had the possibility to spend their time together with the operators of sport associations for people with disabilities.

From 5th to 8th December ESN Austria organizes a National Event: ESN Austria Ski Event!
The event will take place in the famous ski resort Zell am See in the Austrian alps, gathering more than 200 exchange students from all over Austria! Besides skiing we will enjoy theme parties, sauna parties, apres ski parties and much more!
