ESN RadioActive
Thanks to the partnership with Generation 112 ESN international was given to opportunity to have regularly (on a bimonthly basis) its own radio emission directly from the European Commission.
On Thursday 29th April 2010 Simone Dalle Nogare (ESN International) hosted the first ESN Radio show from the European Commission. Guests in his show were the newly elected international board members for 2010/2011 Joachim Wyssling from France (Vice-president) and Marco La Rosa from Italy (External Relations) which will start their experience in Brussels from 15th July 2010. The second interview was held on 06th May and Simone's guest this time was the current treasurer of ESN International Troels Frost Christensen from Denmark. Open Call for Network & Events Committee Vice-Chair positions
The Network & Events Committee is searching for active ESN members for Vice-Chair Network and Vice-Chair Events positions! ESN International is searching for the core team for the Section Guide project! In total 6 people will be elected to the core project team and from them the main coordinator. Conference on the social mobility of young people, 30 June – 1 July 2010
Directorate General of Social Cohesion of the Council of Europe in co-operation with the Directorate of Youth and Sport is organising a "Conference on the social mobility of young people", which will take place at the European Youth Centre, Strasbourg, on 30th June and 1st July 2010. The working languages of the conference are English and French.The aim of the conference is to bring together policy makers in the social and youth fields, researchers and representatives of youth organisations to examine some key factors influencing social mobility and the particular challenges faced by young people in taking advantage of opportunities to increase their social mobility.

IFISO meeting, Ankara (Turkey) 16-20 June 2010
IFISO (Informal Forum of International Students' Associations) is an informal forum for international, politically independent and non profit student organisations. While not being a formal entity (no by-laws, no obligations, no fees, no website, no official spokespersons officers, etc.), IFISO as an informal forum is still quite influential because it creates the necessary environment for international student organisations to collaborate on all possible levels in order to strengthen their capacities through knowledge sharing and identification of synergies. IFISO members meet twice per year.
The spring meeting will be held from 16th-20th June 2010 in Ankara, Turkey.For more information and application please write to Tajana Nikolic at external@esn.org.

The European Charlemagne Youth Prize
The European Charlemagne Youth Prize aims to encourage the development of European consciousness among young people, as well as their participation in European integration projects.
The Prize is awarded to projects undertaken by young people which foster understanding, promote the development of a shared sense of European identity, and offer practical examples of Europeans living together as one community. It is awarded jointly and annually by the European Parliament and the Foundation of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen.
The 2010 prize was awarded on 11th May 2010 in Aachen and the three winners are "Train for Europe" project from Germany, "You are here" project from Ireland and "BEST Engineering Competition BEC" project from Bulgaria.
In 2008 ESN section International Student Club at CTUfrom Prague, Czech Republic was one of the national winners of The European Charlemagne Youth Prize.

ESN UK Spring Break!
While parts of Europe were still skiiing and trying to stay warm, the summer had already kicked off for Erasmus students in UK! Down in Newquay, Cornwall, the first ever national ESN UK event took place over the Easter holdiays, offering those lucky enough to attend 3 nights at the surf and party capital of the UK!

Turkish National Platform
Last weekend in Ankara ESN Turkey had their National Platform organised by ESN Bilkent. During the NP two new section were approved ESN Akdeniz University and ESN Firat and ESN Turkey now counts 25 sections. Short survey about your Erasmus exchange
Are you British? Have you been on Erasmus?

This survey is a part of a dissertation research project which aims to understand the relationship between Erasmus/Socrates exchanges and a feeling of European identity among participants.
