During October, November and December you had the opportunity to meet and share your experiences with other ESN members in one of the Regional Platforms and at the end of the December the ESN members from the South Eastern region will meet.However, the question is - where to meet in 2010? CALL FOR A NEW MEMBER OF CARE TEAM
The Care team was established after the cancellation of the ESNtrain to communicate with all parties involved on behalf of the ESN and to investigate into the cancellation. Currently, we are looking for one or two additional members.They will be responsible for final report with investigations on the ESNtrain cancellation, and recommendations for ESN on how to manage big partnerships and projects in the future. 8th Argus European Design Competition
Invent a vehicle that is useful for society! The goal of this competition is to come up with original, innovative and useful concepts for the movement of goods and people. The competition is open to students less than 28 years old, born after 1st January 1981 and attending design colleges (automotive and industrial design, fine arts, architecture…) within the European Union and Switzerland. The theme for this year is: “Less is More: Travelling in the Era of Simplicity”. Every project short-listed for the final will be exhibited during the award ceremony on 20 January 2010.Deadline for sending projects is 11 December 2009.

EU elects discrete, consensual leaders
The European Union has elected its first president at an extraordinary summit that was held on Thursday 19th of November. EU heads of state and government unanimously backed Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy as the first permanent EU president. Current Trade Commissioner Baroness Catherine Ashton was elected as High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Pierre de Boissieu as Secretary-General of the Council Secretariat.- Western European Platform – Zurich
From 19th till 22nd November Zurich hosted a regional platform. Over 150 section member from Western and South Western Region met to share their experiences. To find out more about WEP visit the official website . - Local PRIME Conferences
Local sections of ESN are organising PRIME conferences to present and discuss the findings of the PRIME research - supported by the European Commission. In total there are going to be 11 conferences. The sections in Stockholm (Sweden), Rome (Italy), Sofia (Bulgaria), Bonn (Germany), Kaunas (Lithuania) and Madrid (Spain) have already had very successful conferences in November and the sections in Prague (Czech Republic), Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia), Bologna (Italy) and Parma (Italy) are going to organise one in December.
- Council of National Delegates - Athens
The CND is an extended CNR: CND is constituted of all the National Representatives (NR) and two additional delegates from each country. It will take place in Athens from 3rd to 6th December. - South Eastern European Platform - Ljubljana

In January 2010, ESN is organising the final conference to present and discuss the results and findings of the PRIME research - supported by the European Commission. The conference will be held in Brussels from 21 to 23 January 2010. For more information click here . - INSIGHT WEEKEND!
The Insight Weekend for potential candidates for the International Board 2010 will take place from 21st to 24th of January in Brussels. 10 participants from Lithuania, The Netherland, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Greece and Turkey, will have the opportunity to get an insight of the real tasks and duties of a Board member, to find the right position for themselves and to meet their potential future colleagues.
