Send a Postcard - Send a Chance

Now that the first phase - Postcard Design Competition - of the Postcard Campaign is finished ESN needs your help to keep it going.

For phase two - Send a Postcard - you can help fight racism and xenophobia by writing a short story about how your experience abroad opened your eyes to understand, accept and respect people from different backgrounds.

Theme: On the postcard, write all your thoughts when you hear Send your experience abroad.
Language: The text has to be in English.
Length: Your story should not exceed 50 words.
Dates: Send your postcard in June / July / August / September.
Contact: Include your name and e-mail address (all your data is kept confidentially and will only be published with your consent).

A jury will pre-select the best stories and publish them for online voting to determine the final 20 winners for Phase 3, A Guide to Solving Racism.

Bridging the Gap - Seminar on long-term youth exchanges

ESN, in collaboration with EEE-YFU and other exchange organisations, will organise a seminar Bridging the Gap: the road to recognising long term youth exchanges.

The seminar takes place from 13 to 21 September in Mollina, Spain and ESN can send 4 participants.

Deadline for applications is 15 July.

Since last week, a donation button has been included on the frontpage of www.give20.eu.

Individual donations can now be received on a PayPal account.

You do not need a PayPal account yourself, but can use also your credit card to contribute to the education of children in Bhutan.

Swedish Presidency receives European Commission

On Wednesday, the European Commission travelled to Stockholm to mark the start of the Swedish EU Presidency. During the day, a series of talks were held between Commissioners and Swedish ministers on those issues that will be in focus during Sweden's six months in the driving seat.
