If you have a good knowledge of spoken and written English as well as a functional command of spoken French, your working style can be described as precise, organised, and task-oriented, then apply for the position of ESN secretary!From 1st January 2009 the International Board would be happy to welcome you to Brussels as the new ESN secretary for 6 months with the option of prolongation of another 6 months.

YOUth for you
European Youth Week
On November 2th - 9th 2008 the voice will be given to the youth of Europe!Events will be organised in the 31 countries participating in the Youth in Action programme and a central event will take place in Brussels/Belgium from 2nd to 6th November. This year's Youth Week is also dedicated to intercultural dialogue - the EU's theme of 2008.

Airlines in Europe must display real ticket prices
EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - A new EU regulation that enters into force on 1 November obliges airlines to include all taxes and charges in their published ticket prices and to apply the same price for a flight when bought in different countries.Fair competition is the key to success: with price transparency, passengers will know in advance how much they are going to pay and will be able to make informed choices, EU transport commissioner Antonio Tajani said on Thursday.

- SWEP
The second of the Regional Pletforms took place in Milan, Italy 23th - 26 October 2008. The event gathered more than 50 participants. ESN International was represented by Magdalena Wawrzonkowska, External Relations and Jorgen Talkop, EVS. We would like to offer out congratulations to everybody involved in preparing this event! - COMPIÈGNE
The Education and Culture Commission met for one day. Matthias Fenner, President of ESN AISBL, presented the main projects and best-practises of ESN and outlined how young people can benefit, both from being member or international student. Also, their needs and wishes were outlined and well received. The agenda can be found clicking here. - SECTION MEETING IN VIENNA
31st October - 2nd November 2008 a section meeting took place in Vienna, Austria. Members of ESN sections from Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia were participating in the event as well as the National Representatives of these countries. There were working sessions about possible events held and common activities discussed. OC provided participants with the workshops about negotiations led by professionals. Meeting was very successful and fruitful. ESN International encourages all other ESN sections to express their cooperation and friendship through similar events!
- SEA BATTLE
is a party cruise between the cities Helsinki, Stockholm, and Tallinn. It's taking place 1st - 4th November. For this event more than 1300 exchange students currently studying in Estonia, Finland, or Sweden join up. Congratulations to the OC for their enormous effort! - CEP
The third of the Regional Platforms will take place in Budapest/Hungary on 6th - 9th November. More than 70 participants from central Europe will come to attend and enjoy this regional meeting exchanging their experience and vision of ESN with Marketa and Piotr. - YFJ GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The highest decision making body of the European Youth Forum meets every second year. This time in Rotterdam/Netherlands from 13th to 15th November. Jelena, Madara and Dominika will be there to represent ESN. Furthermore, Dominika will stand for elections for the Advisory Council on Youth for the Council of Europe there. Let's keep our fingers crossed for her! - NEP
The NEP, being the fourth RP, is taking place in Tartu/Estonia from 13th to 16th November. Melinda and Matthias will be there together with an amazing number of 80 participants to discuss about past projects; but more important to look in the future and see where ESN is going.
