We will hunt for the stars of Europe...looking for fun, intercultural dialogue, and life exchange.

Who may participate? The competition is open to Polish students and foreigners studying at Polish universities. Every participant may send 3 photos maximum.

Everyone willing to participate in the competition can choose the category of their photos: Poland through the eyes of foreign Erasmus, Europe through the eyes of polish Erasmus, and International friendships.

The competition is divided into two stages. First – local stage – will take place in March and will be conducted by the local sections of ESN. They'll organize local exhibitions and choose photos, which will be qualified to the national stage. The national stage will be carried out by Warsaw School of Economics. The best photos will be selected by a jury, compounded of students, university authorities and experts in the field of photography.

Finalists of the local stages will be invited to attend the awards ceremony, which will take place on 17 May 2008 in Warsaw. It will be combined with the exhibition of the best photos and announcement of winners. Lucky winners will be awarded precious prizes. It would be a great chance to meet students from different universities and exchange the experiences.

Humour, reflection, adventure, happiness - what else we'll see on the photos this year? We will find out soon!

3. Topic of the month:

Together in diversity: the youth dimension of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue (EYID)

Here we are in the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue which is officially opened at the European level in December 2007 with the launch of a media campaign including a website which aims at creating a forum to promote intercultural dialogue.

With “Together in diversity” as its motto, the whole initiative will be focusing in particular on promoting and raising awareness on cultural diversity by fostering exchanges and providing different groups, including young people, with more opportunities to exchange ideas and to confront each other.

The European Youth Forum (YFJ) has been constantly highlighting the importance of raising-awareness on human rights and fundamental freedoms, including the freedoms of thought, religion and belief, which are a pre-condition to ensure religious freedom.
