The Council of Europe awarded ESN participatory status on 29th December 2008.

This award shows the quality of ESN's work and commitment of its volunteers.

Through its new status ESN can actively influence student mobility issues in an important and high level institution.

World Creative Youth Forum

This event brings 200 youth leaders together in Manila / Philipines around the topic of education for sustainable development.

It is held from the 5th to 10th May 2009. Its target are young people, who may become future leaders of the world, who want to make a change.

Participate in the Charlemagne Youth Prize

Each year, the Charlemagne Youth Prize is awarded to youth projects related to European integration, inter-cultural understanding and living together.

These are the topics ESN is all about, hence ESN Sections can submit the application of their projects until the 16th February 2009.

The Czech Republic has taken over the six-month rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union from France.

The Czech Presidency has formulated its priorities as the 3 E's' - Economy, Energy and External Relations.

Together: 50 years of rights and opportunities is a guide to international initiatives in the fields of education, culture, training, work and active citizenship.

This guide is published by Bancadatigiovani (Youth database), a project run by the Youth association Informagiovani a Palermo and the social co-operative Argonauti.
