Section Guide

The section guide is a manual for all ESN sections. It containsLogos.jpg information on how to work within an ESN section and how to manage all its different activities. It also contains information about the ESN network and what it offers to the sections. The aim of the manual is to help ESNers at the section level, also called local level, and give them hints to conduce all their activities in a successful manner. This guide will be composed of two chapters: “Section in ESN” and “ESN for Sections”.

“Section in ESN” will contain information and tips on how to run and manage a section successfully. The following topics will be covered:

  1. Organisational management
  2. Human resources
  3. Project & event management
  4. Communication
  5. Financial management
  6. Risk management

“ESN for Sections” is aimed more to share for sections relevant information about ESN as an organisation and the network as such. The following topics wil be covered:

  1. About ESN
  2. Section in ESN
  3. ESN International events
  4. ESN International projects
  5. IT & communication tools in ESN
  6. Education policies through the eyes of ESN

For different topics, best pratices will be collected from the whole network. Use your opportunity to contribute! More information on this can be found on Best Pratice Story competition page!
The guidebook will be published in a digital version, which will be available for all existing and potential section. The production of a printed copy is not decided yet, as it depends on the financial resources of ESN International.
If you want further information on the Section Guide, feel free to write to section_guide@esn.org.
