ESNcard = membership plus discounts

The ESNcard Project was born in 2004 after three years of planning. It aims to distribute a common ESNcard to ESN Members and the exchange students in Europe which is to show their membership in the biggest community of internationally minded students.

The ESNcards shows membership in the biggest community of internationally minded students.

The ESNCard is distributed exlusively by the ESN Sections or by the International Relations Offices in the Universities that joined the project.
Being a cardholder means having access to international, national and local advantages and discounts. If you are an ESN Section, you have the opportunity to access this unique product: order your ESNCards by writing to ESN Treasurer if you are a section, or by asking the closest ESN Section
For further info visit the ESNcard Project web page

Back side of the ESNcard: your sponsorship opportunity!

The purpose of the back side of the card is to provide ESN Sections/Countries with a possibility to make local/national agreements with partners and sponsors. In addition, the national ESN logo or the section logo can be put on the back side of the card.

In connection with the Corporate Identity of ESN certain graphical and technical rules apply for the back side of the card and cannot be changed.

These are as follows:

  • if you want ESNcards with partner/sponsor logo, you have to order at least 1000 cards
  • you cannot change the design of ESNcards, which means no changes of front and back side of the card other than allowed sponsor/partner logos
  • it is not possible to cover the back side completely with custom logos, up to three individual sections/national logos can be added
  • you have to provide logo files in proper format, most preferably in vector graphical format. Raster graphics are also accepted if they are in high resolution (width at least 1280px) with white or transparent background.

Recommended vector graphics file extensions:

  • EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
  • AI (Adobe Illustrator version up to CS3)
  • CDR (Corel Draw version up to X3)

accepted raster graphics file extensions

  • PNG (high quality, transparent/white background)
  • TIFF (high quality, transparent/white background)
  • JPEG (high quality, white background)

after the online ordering please get directly in touch with Fabian Bircher, Web Project Administrator (wpa@esn.org)

Corporate Design Package

ESN from the 1 June 2006 has a new and fancy Corporate Identity. This is a whole of communication tools for visually demonstrating our professionalism and our belongingness to a pan-European (and beyond!) organisation. The new visual aspects represent our values and our reason of existence. The modern logo, templates and website are to be used only if you are an ESN Section.

Knowledge exchange

By being a node of the network you can get acquainted with other people sharing your interests and you practises. An IT whole of tools is to be created for supporting the Knowledge Management issues of such a huge network! An ESN Section has the right to participate in this project and in this practise.

Evaluation/survey

Every year ESN launches a survey which gives exchange students a chance to express their opinion about exchange programmes and for an ESN section to evaluate its services. The first edition of the survey collected more than 7700 answers! All ESN Sections could ask for the data produced by them. By this evaluation ESN Sections can learn how to improve the services they provide. Every year the Survey will be improved. See the ESNSurvey Website
