The main topic of 2008 was “Exchanging Cultures”. As one of the core objectives of any exchange is to discover foreign cultures, integrate with local people and try to adapt to new cultural conditions, we think it is interesting to see if these processes really take place during a study period in a foreign country. Furthermore, we analyze the impacts of an experience abroad on the personal abilities to overcome cultural differences and to benefit from the new cultural environment. The survey deals with topics such as cultural shock and its social implications, integration with local culture and people, intercultural skills learned etc.
