ESN Satellite version 3.1 (current version)

ESN Satellite 3.1 comes with several features:

• easy installation procedure through an installation wizard
• new graphic design, with fully customizable colors and elements
• centralized configuration on a single settings page
• faster management: quick edit/delete links for every item shown on the front page
• better positioning of blocks and menu items through a new mouse-driven interface
• inline help to ease editing activities and guide editors with support videos
• easier deployment of multilingual websites
• dozens of preinstalled modules for easier expansion
• installation of new modules through a comfortable web interface
• optional integration with Facebook: users can login with their Facebook password

ESN Satellite version 3.2 available soon!

Using the ESN sections’ feedback and ideas and combining them with features provided by Drupal (the base system that Satellite websites use), the iT Committee developed this new version of ESN Satellite. It mainly focuses on added functionality and improved usability but also has completely new designs and some technical issues fixed.

The iT committee has especially been working on an improved event management system. Helping the sections getting a better grip on larger events.

Since the dawn of Facebook, sections are publishing news twice. The new Facebook integration makes it possible to have your Satellite linked to your Facebook group. Reaching more people and making the life of boards all over ESN more easy.

Satellite 3.2 will be available for download shortly after the AGM Budapest 2011.

Technical support

Visit the ESN Helpcenter to find documentation and tutorials about the ESN Satellite or ask your satellite-related questions in the Forum. The Helpcenter is being updated continually so don’t forgot to check back often.

ESN Satellite can be downloaded through the download area of ESN Galaxy, the main gateway to all ESN sections throughout Europe giving access to information about their members, news and events! Please note that a Galaxy account, either with webmaster or president roles assigned, is needed in order to download the Satellite files.
