ESN Pilsen

Pilsen, a nice city not even 100 km from Prague, is not only home to a famous brewery, but also to ESN Pilsen, the first Section in the Spotlight.

ESN Pilsen is not only fully involved in the national and international ESN level, but takes good care of their exchange students in various ways. The section is like a small family, which is there for every member of every generation and is always welcoming new members. They regularly organize buddy weekends, where they meet with their section members and prospective members to motivate, learn from and get to know each other. During the semester they also have BBQs and movie nights, which strengthen their team. Therefore the Pilsen family can concentrate on taking good care of their exchange students as they have such a strong basis.

The international students can enjoy many different events in Pilsen. Either they visit the famous brewery, take part in a trip to Prague or even Germany or they can prove their athletic skills in the various sports events. Of course you also cannot miss the many country evenings, Eurodinners and parties throughout the whole semester.

But there is one quite unique event, which ESN Pilsen organizes for its exchange students, the Students Ball. 

A few weeks ago ESN Pilsen and a few other student organizations already held the 4th Students Ball with great success. Before the big event the international students could take part in dance lessons and either renew their dance moves or learn it from the scratch. They were taught waltz, Viennese waltz, polka, jive, twist and even more. The ball`s theme was the 60`s and everyone of course had to dress according to the theme. ESN Pilsen even organized the possibility to rent dresses and tuxedos to give everyone the chance to attend the ball. In the end there were 720 people dancing around the ball room, which made it a great success. This event is not only great for the international students, but gives ESN Pilsen the possibility to work together with other student organizations and expand the network even more.
