SWEP 2012 – Gracias ESN Madrid

The first Regional Platform of 2012 was taking place in Madrid, Spain from October 25-28.

 

Regional platforms are the perfect place to learn more about ESN´s international projects, share experiences and not least make new friends and enjoy the city. Emanuel Alfranseder, the President, and Juan Colino, the Communication Manager, attended to represent the International Board of ESN. So ESNers got the chance to meet the current board and find out more about their work and plans.

 

During the three days many small sessions, workshops and presentations transferred knowledge and ideas to participants and provided a platform for discussion and sharing best practices. One highlight was the presentation of a World Bank expert talking about alcohol and health issues in the framework of ESN´s Responsible Party initiative.

 

A trip to the beautiful World Heritage Site of the city of Toledo provided some cultural flair to SWEP 2012. Everyone who was part of the event was enjoying every moment of it. It was a fantastic experience for both new and old ESNers and everyone left happy and inspired and at the same time sad that it was already over.
