PRIME: Local and National Coordinators wanted!

Sun, 07/11/2010 - 09:59 — Anonymous

ESN is looking for national and local coordinators for the PRIME (Problems of Recognition In Making Erasmus) 2010 Project. The position is on a voluntary basis.

What is PRIME?

Previous edition. From January till May 2009, members of ESN conducted qualitative research among HEI and their faculties on the procedures applied to outgoing Erasmus / Exchange students. The main field of research was the information policy of HEI / faculties regarding Erasmus and other exchange programs and learning agreements.

PRIME 2010. The project has received for a second time grant from European Commission and we have ambitious goal to make in this edition some improvements and to expand the research.
An International Coordinator, Justyna Pisera, was recently chosen and the next step is to find national and local coordinators for the project.

What are the responsibilities of Coordinators?

The National Coordinator will follow all the aspects concerning the national level of the project:

  • promote the project on a national level
  • contact and cooperate with the National Agency
  • conduct an interview with one of their representatives
  • coordinate and monitor the progresses of the Local Coordinators
  • provide the national and local results of the project to the PRIME 2010 research team
  • contribute to the interim report

The Local Coordinator will be the contact person in the section concerning the project and will have the follow tasks:

  • contact and cooperate with the home university
  • provide information and guidelines necessary to fill the questionnaires
  • promote the project on the local level and within the section
  • encourage students to take part in survey
  • contribute to the interim report.

Duration of the project and time availability

The interviews with National Agencies will be conducted between January and March 2011. At the same time online questionnaires for Universities and students will be available. The main workload is expected therefore for this period.

We strongly encourage you to consider the organization of a local or national PRIME conference too.

Why becoming coordinators?

The Coordinators will take part in one of the most important projects of ESN. ESN received a second grant from the European Commission and aim to improve and expand the research.

  • be ambassadors of the project and contribute to the improvement of the Erasmus programme
  • give more visibility to both ESN country and local section improving the relationships with universities and national agency
  • gain experience in the field of international research

PRIME 2010 is a very important project for ESN and we need your cooperation to make it succesful.

If you are interested in the position of National or Local Coordinator, contact directly your ESN National Representative (country@esn.org).
