What is the Communication Committee?

The ESN Communication Committee is one of the five committees of ESN and its focus areas are communication, graphic design, press & media.
The committee is recognized as advisory body of ESN and the Communication Manager in the Board is the person in charge of it assisted by a Chair and two Vice-Chairs.

What do we offer and what do we require?

We offer a place where the members of the committee can learn from each other and challenge themselves with different projects and activities. The committee is also fun and there are 2 or more meetings per year where the members can meet in person, discuss, work and have team building activities.
We want reliable and motivated people willing to learn and to challenge themselves in the mentioned activities, good skills in communication and social sciences are expected as well a basic knowledge about ESN and how the network works.
All the open positions are on a voluntary basis, following the principle of ESN.

Open Positions

We are looking for new members for the Corporate Identity, Promotion and Publications Teams.

Corporate Identity Team

The Corporate Identity team works closely with the Board and the Graphics Team to maintain a strong use of the ESN Corporate Identity in the network.
A screening of all the sections was already done, but a lot of work is awaiting the new team!
Number of open positions: 3
Tasks: Promote the Visual Identity Manual and the correct use of the ESN Corporate Identity, provide advice to the sections, screening of the network.
Skills required: basic knowledge of visual communication (training will be provided as well)
Time Availability: 2-3 hours/week

Promotion Team

The Promotion Team takes care of PR material, build campaigns and promote events. ESN is currently planning to create a completely new range of leaflets, brochures and other PR material.
We are looking for two people with good knowledge of the network for the content part. The graphics team will work on the design.
Number of open positions: 2
Tasks: Creation and redaction of PR material. Short term projects: brochure and leaflet about ESN aimed at general public.
Skills required: basic knowledge of visual communication, creative writing and knowledge of ESN.
Time Availability: 1-2 hours/week, initially more.

Publications Team

The Publications Team takes care of ESN Magazine, production of audio/visual material, web content and assist the Board for the publications of booklets, reports and other material.
We are looking for new members to be part of the editorial team of eXpress, the ESN Magazine and two editors for the publications of ESN.
eXpress, the ESN Magazine
Number of open positions: 3
Tasks: Keep a column and have two articles per issue. Assist the Communication Manager assembling the articles.
Skills required: very good English, creative writing.
Time Availability: 3-4 hours/month.

Editors

Number of open positions: 2
Tasks: Editing and proof-reading of written material.
Skills required: excellent English (better if with studies of linguistic), creative writing.
Time Availability: occasional.
