New Section Partnerships!

We are proud to announce you three new partner sections in the network!

AEP-ESN Padova and ESN Nancy

The two Boards had a meeting and, considering the following:

• our cities (Padova and Nancy) have a well-established and long relationship (the official twinning started back in 1964).
• many members of our sections have established friendships during ESN events. Moreover, some members of ESN Nancy visited Padova during SWEP and a member of AEP-ESN Padova attended the famous EuroGalaDinner in Nancy. Our secretary has done her Erasmus in Nancy as well;
• we have already set some plans for future cooperations. ESN Nancy invited Padova to visit its city and to join one of its events. And ESN Padova is also willing to host ESN Nancy.
• many members of our sections have established friendships during ESN events but became also friends outside ESN.

AEP-ESN Padova and ESN Nancy decided to become officially Partner Sections. The partnership aims at:

• improving the pallomeri relationship between the sections;
• sharing experiences, best practices and ideas;
• organizing common trips and activities; such as AEP-ESN Padova’s visit to the EuroGalaDinner in Nancy or the participation of ESN Nancy to the Carnival Party and Venice Lagoon Boat Excursion organized by AEP-ESN Padova;
• promoting cultural cooperation between the two cities based also on the existing administrative relations (Padova and Nancy are twin cities);
• exchanging of ESNers (through EVS programme or other EU programs).

ESN UMB and ESN Akdeniz

the two Boards had a meeting and, considering the following:

• There is a very active exchange flow between University of Mateja Bela and Akdeniz University;
• Currently both the sections are working on new exchange agreements to increase the number of incoming and outgoing exchange students
• The two Boards had several meetings to discuss about the cooperation between the sections

ESN UMB and ESN Akdeniz decided to become officially Partner Sections. The partnership aims at:

• Increase the cooperation at all levels
• Internal exchange of ESN members, the two Boards already started to work on it.
• Increase the number of erasmus students in/outgoing from both the sections
• Work together on EU projects and training from which both section members can benefit.

ESN Maribor and AEP-ESN Padova

The two Boards had a meeting and, considering the following:

• this year, for the 4th time AEP-ESN Padova is organizing a three days tour for its Erasmus students to Maribor and Slovenia;
• both sections attend AlpeAdria sections meeting;
• many members of our sections have established friendships during ESN events but became also friends outside ESN. In fact, the ESNers visit each others cities several times in a year;
• we had also some common members!

AEP-ESN Padova and ESN Maribor decided to become officially Partner Sections. The partnership aims at:

• improving the pallomeri relationship between the sections;
• sharing experiences, best practices and ideas;
• organizing common trips and activities; such as AEP-ESN Padova’s three days tour to Maribor and Slovenia or the participation of ESN Maribor to the Carnival Party and Venice Lagoon Boat Excursion organized by AEP-ESN Padova;
• promoting regional cooperation among the sections from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia and North Italy through the organization of the Section Meetings and involvement in the common projects and activities;
• exchanging of ESNers (through EVS programme or other EU programs).

What is a section partnership?

Being a network means also strong cooperation between the sections. Indeed, many ESN sections actively collaborate in various projects e.g. trips, workshops, trainings and other projects.

Some of the sections that collaborate on a regular basis can create a section partnership.

The aims of the section partnership are among others to

• exchange knowledge between the members,
• learn from each others practical experiences,
• organise common events,
• invite each other to local activities,
• support each other,
• meet new friends
