The new Galaxy 3.0 has been released!

What is the ESN Galaxy?
The Galaxy is the internal online platform for ESN members.They are able to find useful information about the ESN network,, download the ESN Satellite and the Digital Welcome package, fill in the Section Questionnaire and much more. Moreover, the Galaxy accounts are used within the ESN network for authenticated access to many ESN websites.

What’s new?

• Several bugs, which caused long loading times or weren’t functioning properly, have been fixed
• A new design is applied, which should provide a better user interface, and makes usage of the Galaxy easier.
• The nice big buttons on the top, which are designed for easy implementation of future purposes of the ESN Galaxy, such as an intranet and infocenter integrated for all the levels of ESNers (NRs, National Boards, Committees, Sections etc)
• Better performance

Unfortunately from several tests, it showed up that the facebook-style chat was consuming too many resources and it was making the Galaxy slow. But we will try our best to find a stable solution and provide it to you as soon as possible

What’s next?

A few ideas, indicating the future possibilities are mentioned below:

• Unified contact page, so that it’s easier to find who you need to contact for what
• Internships/Jobs/Open calls for ESNers
• A nice dashboard, where you can find all the information you want
• Improved section management for the International Board, possibly contact lists as well
• Registration system for statutory meetings, regional platforms and cultural medley
• Infocenter for all ESN levels
• ESN Certificate

What is the purpose of Galaxy?
The aim of the Galaxy is to be the main gateway of our section members to access the services and tools of ESN. The potential of the Galaxy is high and, among the European NGOs, we are a leading organization concerning IT systems, both in terms of internal management system (Galaxy) and external services (e.g. Satellite). The Galaxy is the future of our e-services and its future development will lead to tools of primary importance such as Infocentre/Intranet and a centralized event registration system.

The ESN Galaxy was built by the ESN IT Committee
