The Erasmus Student Network renews partnership agreement on “Responsible Party”

For more than two years the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) has worked together with Pernod Ricard on the Responsible Party campaign. Responsible Party is a pan-European awareness campaign created by Pernod Ricard as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy. The goal of the programme is to raise awareness among students on responsible drinking and to contribute to the reduction of excessive and inappropriate consumption of alcohol among young adults. The cooperation includes an awareness campaign concerning the health effects of alcohol and various measures during actual parties. 

On November 29, 2012 ESN and Pernod Ricard renewed their non-commercial partnership on the initiative. ESN is developing and implementing the concept on a local and national level supported by the International Board of ESN and Pernod Ricard local affiliates. The Board Member responsible and Vice-President of ESN, Katharina Ma, signed the agreement on behalf of ESN. 

ESN is looking forward to further developing the campaign and has lots of ideas to do so. This year in ESN’s Regional Platforms a World Bank expert and researcher delivered a workshop to create more awareness for alcohol related issues and the programme itself. ESN will also help to improve the awareness campaign involving the ones that know best how international students think, our ESN members. Therefore we will soon launch a contest to come up with new ideas on an improved campaign. Together with Pernod Ricard, ESN will also develop better tools to monitor the progress and impact of the campaign. ESN is already looking forward to another year full of Responsible Parties.
