Czech National Platform & new National Board

The 36^th National Platform of ESN Czech Republic was held  in Korenov and organized by ESN Liberec from November 2^nd – 4^th, 2012.

All together we were 108 participants and we had the pleasure to welcome three  international guests -  Prokop Teper (NR of ESN SK), Attila Erdei (ND of ESN HU) and Jana Zbonkova (Section President, ESN SK).

During this National Platform we have spent 15 hours in plenaries, 4 hours in workshops lead mainly by our Alumni participants and other ESN members and more than 4 hours in thematic teambuilding activities.

Two representatives from National Agency spent their weekend with us and as usual they were very enthusiastic about the program -  they took part of all teambuilding games, ESN dance and much more.. :).

From our commercial partners we welcomed Education First’s Country Manager for Czech Republic. We discussed future cooperation in general and also closer cooperation for Erasmus in Schools project, which looks very promising. We also discussed the future cooperation with representative from Google and Prague International Marathon.

One of the main parts of this National Platform was the election of our new National Board and we are happy to introduce them to you. Their mandate will start on 1^st January 2013.

With a great pleasure we would like to announce that ESN CZ family is getting bigger! IC CUNI was accepted as our  newest member (14th section). IC CUNI is an international club at Charles University in Prague. They had approached us more than a half a year ago and they became candidate section in June and worked very hard.  Now, we are really happy that the oldest university in the Czech Republic is part of the ESN universe!

The main topics we discussed during our NP:

• statutes changes
• “what we are proud of" edition about the best practices  from all sections and our guests
• News from ESN International (ESNSurvey report, EiS, SECM, Galaxy, Webshop, SE conference, SitS...)
• international projects presentation (SocialErasmus, ExchangeAbility...)
• General presentation about committees
• presentation about behavior at international events

Our next small NP - “Christmas edition” will be in Prague (December 21^st – 22^nd) and the next big 3 day long NP will be organized by ISC CTU in Prague in spring  2013. You are welcomed to join us!
