Balkan times, CNR Zagreb 2012

After every AGM someone sends a complaining e-mail about the ESN Start Awards. “My section is better than the one that got the prize” - They say. But sometimes awards go to the right people. ESN Zagreb has proved that they really deserved the ESN STARter prize that they got in the last AGM in Granada. Pretty good for a one year and a half section to organize such a high quality CNR meeting.

Zagreb welcomed all the National Representatives and the International Board of ESN with a wonderful opening ceremony at a beautiful palace in the city center. After the official presentations everybody enjoyed a great cocktail/dinner. Then we had some time to party in one of the most popular clubs in town.

The plenaries took place in one of the buildings of the University of Zagreb, which has been cooperating with ESN Zagreb and ESN Croatia since the beginning. The NRs discussed about various topics including the next flagship project, Erasmus In Schools, the current projects of ESN and the current work of the International Board.

The social programme continued and included a really nice traditional dinner with some party time in one of the local clubs with local Erasmus students. The next day it was time to taste regional specialities from every country, the famous Eurodinner, where everyone could enjoy mouth-watering food and drinks from all over Europe. The last day the CNR participants had the chance to visit the Museum of Broken Relationships, one of the most creative new museums and have a relaxed last evening before the CNR would end.

This was a good and well organized CNR meeting, thanks to all the staff from ESN Zagreb. The next CNR meeting will be in Brussels. Good luck Brussels, we are sure you will organize a great CNR meeting as well!
