Alumni

About the ESN alumni network

The ESN Alumni is the network for former active ESNers who were active on one of the levels of ESN. Indeed, after having been active in ESN, the time has come to move on to other challenges in our lives. This however does not mean that one leaves ESN completely, you still can contribute to and benefit from the network in different ways!

Since more than 20 years, students have been volunteering in the network. Thus it would be  unfortunate just to leave the whole potential of the network when stopping being an active ESNer. As such, the Alumni network allows to stay in touch with former colleagues, benefit from  personal and professional networking opportunities, take part in Alumni meetings and ESN meetings and sometimes actively contribute to ESN activities when it is possible or required.

Alumni charter

An Alumni charter has been established in order to regulate the activities of the ESN Alumni network. It is stated as following:

"1. The name of the organization
The name of the organization is Erasmus Student Network Alumni, in the following abbreviated to ESN Alumni.

2. Aims

4. ESN Alumni Platform

4.2 An ESN Alumni Platform must be held at least once a year.
4.3 An ESN Alumni Platform has to be announced via the official ESN Alumni channels (website, mailing list) and made known to the Board of ESN International at least two months in advance.
4.4 The alumni can delegate their votes to other alumni present at the ESN Alumni Platform. One alumnus present at the ESN Alumni Platform can be given not more than one delegated vote.
4.5 A decision of ESN Alumni Platform to be valid must be taken by simple majority of the alumni present or represented by delegated votes.

b. National Coordinators

As a pan-European network, the Alumni network management and activities are supported through National Coordinators. These National Coordinators are responsible for having a close communication with the Alumni from their country and as well with the ESN Alumni Board. Additionally, they can set up activities for their Alumni in their country, potentially create a national Alumni network and support their National Board.

Note! The current Alumni Board is developing a strategy and structure for the National Coordinators system and no active developments are taking place in this field. The information about the National Coordinators in different countries is not up-to-date. Stay tuned for further information after the AGM Granada.

As the project has been started in December 2010, the current list of National Coordinators is not complete. If you already a National Coordinator and your name is missing in the list or you are interested to be a National Coordinators, then please contact us at alumni(at)esn.org.
